    History

The firm represents the third generation - grandfather, father and grandson - who have been practicing law in York County since 1916.

Samuel S. Laucks, Sr. had been in practice for 26 years when he was joined by his son, Samuel S. Laucks, Jr., in 1942.

Samuel S. Laucks, Jr., was a founding partner of the law firm, Laucks & Monroe, in 1957.  Through the years of his practicing law, Mr. Laucks served as a president of the York County Bar Association, solicitor to the York County Industrial Development Authority and the Corporation, solicitor to Red Lion School Authority, and was a director emeritus of Dauphin Deposit Bank and Trust Company (now known as M & T Bank).

David M. Laucks and Samuel S. Laucks, Jr. formed the current firm of Laucks & Laucks in 1987.

Katrina H. Dempsey became an associate with Laucks & Laucks in April, 2004.
